Interested in photography? Only use your camera to take pictures at parties and family gatherings? Want to develop your skills? Come and learn from some fellow students who are skilled and talented in the world of photography. Every Wednesday in Red Bar on Frenchay Campus at 5:00 (from 10th December) there will be...
“Discovering photography” a good way for you to explore the infinite possibilities of photography: A series of seminars, screenings, debates and workshops. We’ll cover themes like documentary photography, digital image or black and white photography.

Please book for the workshops by getting in touch with Helen, your Volunteer Support Officer.

Volunteering to get involved with over the festive season:

Caring at Christmas: Volunteers are needed to make a difference to the lives of Bristol's homeless this Christmas. By volunteering for just a few hours over the festive period you could play a part in this. The work would include supporting, befriending, cooking, cleaning, providing entertainment and office work. You can also donate food, clothing and other non- perishable items to the shelter from now until Christmas. The good thing is, there are collection points in the Student Union at all UWE campuses.

Horseworld is looking for stewards on Sunday 7th December. Volunteers are needed who can help direct the flow of visitor traffic to parking spaces for the Winter Fayre and Christmas Carol Service. As a reward hot drinks, mince pies and a FREE family ticket to the HorseWorld visitor centre are provided. :-)

For more information get in touch with your Volunteer Support Officer Helen Seacombe.

Also,

Thank you to everyone who was involved in the Christmas Shoebox Project. We sent off nearly 40 boxes to children in Bulgaria, I'm sure they will be greatly appreciated.

Also thanks to everyone who went along to Winterbourne barn to do conservation work. Everyone involved enjoyed themselves and the barn were very grateful fro all your hard work. There will be other opportunities to go there in the new year: 17th January, 21st February, 21st March
