So we're well underway - We have a logo HTAP, an email address and blog site and are working on a website. Posters have been created and posted around he East London. We're also sending information direct to artists through contacts I've met - notably the people at ACME studios who are getting behind the project and AF2012 who have experience managing their own shows - including installing Goldsmith work at Heathrow Terminal 5.
We're waiting for the artist deadline of 7 December to choose our artists. The full brief has been formed.
In the meantime we're hunting out suitable people to interview - people passionate about living in Hackney.
We're also starting to look for a suitable venue. As we want to also apply to the Arts Council it can't be a commercial gallery so re looking for alternative more transient spaces. Ideally we'd like a disused building that we could pay a small rent on for a month. ACME studios have agreed to help with the contract. Also meeting up with the owners of the Chapel and the Round Chapel to see if they can help in any way.
Planning on ringing the Hackney gazette this morning and some other people that might be able to help.
