What it's all about

The Fashion Society are looking to raise awareness and promote the use of organic cotton, as well as highlighting the different ranges of Fair Trade clothing by staging our own Fair Trade Fashion Show. We will also be focusing on ethical and green ways to produce new clothing. 220,000 farmers die every year in the production of cotton through the use of deadly pesticides banned in Europe and the USA, these deaths could be prevented by the use of organic cotton in the fashion industry.

What's needed to make it a reality

We need funding to help set up, run and promote the event

Since you're at the University of Derby and it's one of the unis Junction49's working with in partnership you can apply for up to £750 funding to run your project. Contact your volunteer support officer (Alex) for access to funding, training and support.
